A Letter from John Hughes
John to leave Northaven staff and begin
Australian internship in June

To
My Northaven Family:
It is with mixed emotions
that I write this letter. I am excited to announce that Jenni and I will be
moving to Australia this next year. But at the same time, we feel like
Northaven really has been a family to us and we will miss you
all.
As a part of my Master of Divinity,
I am required to do an internship in a church. I have been given the
opportunity to fulfill this requirement in Australia in the Uniting Church.
This will be a wonderful chance to get to know that church and also
Jenni’s home town. Our eventual plan is to move between the US and
Australia on a regular basis, and this affords me the chance to learn as a
student there. We will be gone for about one year and then return to Dallas, as
I have to finish my degree at
Perkins.
Northaven really has been
special to both Jenni and myself. I feel like it was just yesterday that I
started here, and now it has been 3 years! I truly feel like I have grown up
here as a minister, and that you have all helped me to do that. I will always
cherish my time here and all the wonderful friendships I have made. Our last
Sunday here will be June 18th.
Grace and
Peace Always,
John
