A Letter from Christina Hildebrand
Chris shares a difficult decision with all
of us
To my Northaven
family,
After much thought and prayer, I
have decided to leave my ministry position at Northaven United Methodist Church
so that I can be at home full-time with my three children. I will be taking a
family leave of absence effective at Annual Conference time in June. I do plan
to return to the ministry at some point in the future when the time feels
right.
Your support for me and for both
my calling to ministry and to motherhood has sustained me through my faith
journey. You nurtured me through the probationary years of ministry, and you
celebrated with me when I was ordained a deacon in full connection. You also
made covenant with me and my family when my son William was baptized, and you,
just a few months ago, lovingly welcomed our newest addition, Sarah, into
Northaven’s fellowship.
I have a
tremendous amount of love for this community of faith and respect for the
mission and ministry of this church. However, I am all too aware that time is a
blessing and that my children will be young for only a short time. Thank you
all for your ministry to me during these last five years. It truly has been a
privilege to serve at Northaven.
Grace
and peace,
Christina Hildebrand
