from El Salvador in Dallas on Thursday, May 4th at 7:00 p.m. at Northaven United

Northaven's Church in Society Commission is sponsoring a Salvadoran speaker, Carmelina Urquia, who will give us an update on issues challenging our brothers and sisters in El Salvador. Carmalina is active in women's issues including literacy, micro enterprises, and organizing associations. Our Biblical exhortation to do justice in general becomes specific when we discuss what is happening with economic crises such as those associated with loss of local coffee markets, globalization of trade, and privatization of national resources such as water. All are welcome to join us at Northaven that evening. Come learn how your own faith community might support micro loan banks in El Salvador.
