Summary of our all-church mission Sunday, July 30th

Northaven Church marked a special Mission Trip Sunday on July 30th, that featured a special sermon on mission, and a mission lunch. (listen to the sermon by clicking here) The lunch drew a crowd of more than 100 people, including members of Hamilton Park United Methodist, who co-led our adult mission team to Gulf Port, Mississippi.

The gathered crowd enjoyed the lunch from Sonny Bryan's, and saw powerpoint presentations on the Northaven youth trips to North Carolina and Oak Cliff. Some of our youth also shared their experiences of the trips.

Adult members of Hamilton Park and Northaven narrated a slideshow about their experiences in Gulf Port.

Hamilton Park and Northaven Churches are developing a joint Disaster Recovery & Restoration Team to respond to local, national, and international disasters. The Church in Society Commission hopes you will consider becoming a member of the team by completing Disaster Recovery & Restoration Ministries information form available on the CIS table in the church atrium. Fifteen Northavenvers filled out these sheets at the lunch Sunday.

If you would like to get more involved, we hope you'll fill out one of the information sheets too.

Please contact Ron Wilhelm for more information.
