Mission Trip Luncheon
Summary of our all-church mission Sunday,
July 30th
Northaven Church marked a special Mission Trip
Sunday on July 30th, that featured a special sermon on mission, and a mission
lunch. (listen to the sermon by clicking here) The lunch drew a crowd of more
than 100 people, including members of Hamilton Park United Methodist, who co-led
our adult mission team to Gulf Port,
Mississippi.The gathered crowd enjoyed
the lunch from Sonny Bryan's, and saw powerpoint presentations on the Northaven
youth trips to North Carolina and Oak Cliff. Some of our youth also shared their
experiences of the trips.Adult members
of Hamilton Park and Northaven narrated a slideshow about their experiences in
Gulf Port. Hamilton Park and Northaven
Churches are developing a joint Disaster Recovery & Restoration Team to
respond to local, national, and international disasters. The Church in Society
Commission hopes you will consider becoming a member of the team by completing
Disaster Recovery & Restoration Ministries information form available on the
CIS table in the church atrium. Fifteen Northavenvers filled out these sheets at
the lunch Sunday.If you would like to
