Minister of Spiritual Formation Hired!
Mary Lowrance to join the Northaven staff
on August 27th
The Staff Parish Relations Committee is pleased to
announce the hiring of Mary Lowrance for the position of Minister of Spiritual
Formation.
Mary is a native of Fort Worth
and a graduate of Brite Divinity School at TCU. She served as an ordained elder
for over ten years in the Central Texas Conference; in churches such as First
United Methodist in Arlington and FUMC Fort
Worth.
During her years of service,
Mary's experience as an associate minister included areas such as youth
ministry, Christian education, older adult ministries, evangelism. She has also
served as a pastor-in-charge. She brings a wide range of experiences in the
local church ministry with her.
Mary left
ordained ministry in the UMC when she took a position as pastor of Christian
discipleship at the Cathedral of Hope in Dallas. Most recently she has served
as chaplain and bereavement counselor at Community Hospice of
Texas.
The Staff Parish Committee
believes that Mary has each of the job skills we desire in this position. She
brings with her a positive energy, enthusiasm, intelligence, spiritual depth,
experience, a willingness to be genuine, and a clear desire to serve as a lay
minister to our congregation.
Mary has
a son, and lives in Fort Worth with her partner,
Jaye.
Her first Sunday in worship with us
will be August 27th.
