An chance for worship and fellowship among Reconciling Methodists

The Parents Reconciling Network has a new project to reach United Methodists who support a fully inclusive church. This will be an opportunity for worship and fellowship with those who want the United Methodist Church to live up to its motto of Open Hearts, Open Minds and Open Doors. We plan to meet once a month on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. for a worship service of 30 to 45 minutes followed by a time of fellowship. We are calling this Rainbow Saturday. People from at least twenty United Methodist Churches will be asked to join us. If you know anyone who might be interested, please invite them.

The first Rainbow Saturday meeting will be at Northaven in the sanctuary on Saturday, September 23 at 4:00 p.m. The second meeting will be on October 21, 4:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church Dallas. First UMC is located on the corner of Ross and Harwood. The third meeting will be Saturday, November 18, 4:00 p.m. at Grace UMC, 4105 Junius at Haskell.

As advocates for justice we feel that any action we take to promote a truly inclusive church should be grounded in worship and supported by the fellowship of our sisters and brothers in Christ.

We invite you to join us in this new venture of faith. For more information contact Shirley Cooper at 214-337-2371 or Marlene Haskell at 214-575-3562 or email Marlene: marlene.haskell@sbcglobal.net
