Black Tie Award Announcement
Northaven Receives a generous $44,660
Award
The Black Tie Award distribution party was held
last night at the Adam's Mark Hotel. It's our pleasure to announce that
Northaven's share of the Black Tie Dinner distribution was:
$44,660.
This
is an incredibly generous gift and contribution to our faith community. For some
perspective, this is the fourth-largest distribution to any of the 19
beneficiary groups this year. Many of the Black Tie committee members in
attendance noted that this is an extremely good showing for any first-year
recipient of the dinner. They also wished to pass along their sincere thanks for
all the hard work and energy that Northaven brought to the event this
year.
Approximately
30 members and friends of Northaven gathered for the distribution. Receiving the
award for Northaven were leaders from our Black Tie committee --Ron Bobbitt,
Marlene Haskell, Trey Jordan-- and Senior Pastor Eric Folkerth. Northaven
Church sincerely thanks the Black Tie Dinner Committee, and this year's
attendees, for this incredibly generous gift. We are humbled and honored to have
been a part of the dinner this year. We believe our association with the dinner
was a highlight of our church year, and a way for us to live out our support
for the gay and lesbian community.Thank
you, Black
Tie!
