Northaven Selected at 2007 Black Tie Beneficiary
We are grateful to be selected
again
Northaven Church learned this week that we have
once again been selected as a 2007 Beneficiary of the Black Tie
Dinner.
The
dinner is held in the Fall of each year, and is attended by almost 3,000
persons. This year's dinner will be at the Adam's Mark Hotel on November 17
at 6 pm. Last year, Northaven's share of the Black Tie beneficiary
distribution was over $44,000, and the dinner was a highlight of our church's
year.Many Northaven members have been
involved in the planning and organization of the Black Tie Dinner since its
inception 25-years-ago, and our own Black Tie committee led us in an extremely
successful first year as a beneficiary in
2006."We are deeply honored by this
continuing recognition for Northaven Church by the Dallas gay and lesbian
community, and thrilled to be selected a second time," said Senior Pastor Eric
Folkerth. "We know what a distinct honor this is. We are pleased to be partners
with the dinner and look forward to another good year
together."As a beneficiary, there will
be many opportunities for volunteers and participants in the Black Tie Dinner,
and we'll post more about these as they become
available.Thank you, Black Tie! We are
honored to be a part of you and stand with you again!
