Volunteer to help this
summer
Project Transformation needs volunteers! Project
transformation is an organization that provides summer reading programs and
other activities for under-served urban children. Partner churches - and
Northaven has always been one - provide volunteers during the program, this year
from June 4 - July 25. Northaven is
assigned the first week, June
4-7.
Reading volunteers go one-on-one with elementary-age children, listening to them read for 30 minutes and then engage in discussion.
The hours are 9:30 a.m. - noon, Monday through Thursday at Wesley-Rankin Community Center, 3100 Crossman.
Please consider volunteering for whatever hours and days you can spare. There is a sign-up sheet at the Church In Society table in the atrium or can contact Mike Pybas at 214-351-4005, email pybi@sbcglboal.net
