Summer Worship and Arts Camp for children
Hosted at Northaven: June
11-16
The Dallas Chapter of Choristers Guild is proud to
announce our first SWAM Camp. This wonderful experience will give area
children, 3rd - 6th grades (completed), an opportunity to work with noted
composer Larry Schultz and author Jann Aldredge-Clanton, creators of the
musical, Imagine God!
Talented local musicians will also be on hand to engage children in the joy of singing in a choir, and in activities such as playing Orff and rhythm instruments, creating works of art, learning a circle dance, presenting drama and other worship arts.
The camp will conclude with a service of worship as the camp participants offer the musical, Imagine God!, on Saturday, June 16, at 10:00 a.m.
• For children who have completed grades 3-6
• Registration fee is $50 per child and includes a copy of the score, demonstration CD, and T-Shirt
• The camp will be held Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-noon at Northaven United Methodist Church (11211 Preston Road, Dallas)
• Closing Worship Celebration—Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
