WayFest!!!
Sunday, July 22nd. 4 pm
On July 22- our church is holding a city-wide youth
rally, called
WayFest, in
which youth groups from all over the conference will be coming for a
metroplex-wide UMYF. Mara Lehew
Bailey -youth worker at FUMC Red Oak and a
former camp leader- will be leading games. We'll also have a service of worship
that's primarily youth led. Rev. Mike
Wright-Chapman will be preaching. In addition,
the up-and-coming band, 30 Coin
Ransom, will be leading worship and finishing
the night with a concert. Concurrently, there will be a mission fair for
ministries that primarily work with and benefit youth. We will be taking up an
offering for the youth service fund, which is a collection of money that goes to
help ministries that involve youth. Over 50% of those funds will be used in the
Dallas area.
The cost of the event is only $5 a person, and there will be food on sale at the church for any groups that want to eat. The proceeds of ticket sales will go towards strengthening the youth ministry by helping fund our evangelistic, mission, and discipleship efforts.
We would love for all adults, children, and families to attend this awesome opportunity. We'll have face-painting, hair-coloring and games for the little kids too.

We are also looking for donations such as:
nacho cheese makings,
hot dogs,
small bags of chips (individual size)
Frito pie makings.
