The hymn text "Look Up at the Stars" by John
Thornburg with music by Michael E. Ekbladh is full of beautiful Biblical imagery
from stories we all know so well. From Abraham to the prophecy of Jesus' birth
and death, the listener is taken on a journey of faith. While each stanza
contains the main melody, much as many stories of the Bible contain the same
message, the imagery of the text dictates the variations of sound necessary to
tell the story. "Look Up at the Stars" is past, present, and
future.
