Jan Meagher
Information on our temporary, part-time
office manager
The retirement of Holly Price means we are now in a
transitional time between her departure, and the arrival of a full time
replacement. Plans have been implemented to allow the church office to continue
to function as smoothly as possible.
Jan
Meagher (pronounced "Mayer") has been hired as a temporary part-time office
manager, working full days on Mondays and Tuesdays each week. Jan has been in
office administration for many companies during a thirty-year career; and has
more recently gone into business for herself, offering administration services
on a temporary basis to companies and non-profits. We anticipate that Jan will
be available to us throughout the transitional
time.
Travis Jordan will continue to
layout and produce the church bulletin. Additionally, Travis has agreed to
layout and produce "Northaven Now" during this transitional time. (In fact, he
actually produced our last edition two week's ago...) To accomplish this work,
Travis will be in the office for some period of time on every-other Wednesday,
and every Thursday.
Matt McElyea, our new
Financial Administrator, and our Finance Committee, are helping to handle some
of the financial tasks that were previously assigned to Holly. And, our
hard-working Office Volunteers have agreed to shift their time, so as to be
available throughout the time our office is open each day. They will now work
shifts of 9 am to Noon, and Noon to 3 pm each day, answering the phones, and
also helping with administrative tasks. We are extremely grateful for our office
volunteers.
Finally, our full-time staff
intends to adjust their schedules to allow for more office hours than usual,
especially on Wednesday and
Thursdays.
It's our hope that this will
provide adequate coverage of Northaven's office administration during this
transitional time. The search for a full time replacement for our office manager
position will begin immediately. If you have any questions about this, please
feel free to contact Eric Folkerth, or a member of the Staff Parish
Committee.
