Are you looking to move beyond the stress,
busy-ness, and commercialism

experienced during Christmas? Are you interested in allowing Advent to take on a
deeper meaning that enhances your faith? If so, we invite you to journey through
the Advent Study Guide being used by many members of the Northaven Community. In
keeping with this year's theme for Advent "The Day is Coming", we will be reading
Simply Wait: Cultivating Stillness in the Season of Advent by Pamela C. Hawkins.
Each day we will be asked to take time out for reflection, prayer, service or a
scriptural reading as instructed by the text. Through this practice we hope to gain
simplicity and space within the season. Simply Wait is available for sale through
the Church Office during the week or in the Atrium on Sunday mornings at a cost of
$10.00.
