An evening of great Christmas music, Christmas
Around the World, will be presented in our sanctuary on December 17 at 7:30 p.m.
There is no admission charge but a love offering will be
taken.
Two groups will participate:
Concert Bells of Fort Worth
is an auditioned community handbell ensemble
of advanced ringers from the North Texas area and is dedicated to musical
excellence through artistic handbell performance. Stephanie Rhoades is artistic
director and conductor.
Sacred
Song is a chorale organized in October 2003.
Members of Sacred Song share a common love of music and are dedicated to
providing a worship experience through
song.
The group has performed concerts
in the Dallas area, at Bruton Parish Church in Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia,
participated in the Glen Workshop in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and at the Trinity
Arts Conference at the University of Dallas. Terry Goolsby is the conductor of
Sacred Song. Choirs under his direction have sung at the White House, Duke
Chapel, Washington National Cathedral, and cathedrals throughout Europe. He has
been the guest conductor at numerous choral festivals and workshops. He has
served on the Boards of Directors for the Choristers Guild Publishing Company
and the Baptist World Alliance for the last seven years.
