Earth Day Celebrations, 2007
How Northaven will mark Earth Day this
year
On the agenda: Mission Minute by young Ann Tabb,
and community fellowship and sharing of information over lunch following
worship.
Eric Folkerth will preview
the Earth Day celebration in his sermon this coming
Sunday.
State Representative Lon Burnam
will give an update on Legislative matters and the environment, Ann Tabb,
Trustee will give an update on steps Northaven has taken to reduce energy
consumption and Bryan Coley will give a wrap up from the city "Step It Up" event
on Global Warming.
During lunch there
will be table talk on the topic assigned that particular table. Each table will
have a topic, such as: energy, water, biodiversity, clean air, recycling etc.
Folks will select the topic of their choice; either the one that they have
valuable information to share with others on or the topic that they hope to
learn about. The goal is to give others a tip on how to protect the environment
and to learn a new tip. Together we can make a difference.
We want your Hybrid
Cars!!!
If you drive a hybrid, park on the
round curve near Preston to let others examine your gasoline conserving vehicle.
Everyone will participate in a chance to win a tree seedling and oh yes, plan to
have fun.
