Information about an important
environmental awareness event this weekend
CONCERNED DALLAS/FT. WORTH RESIDENTS TO
HOLD RALLY AS PART OF NATIONWIDE CALL TO ACTION ON GLOBAL
WARMINGWHAT:
Dallas/Ft. Worth residents concerned about the catastrophic effects of global
warming will hold a rally to urge Congress to put America on the path towards
reducing carbon emissions 80% by 2050. The event is part of the Step it Up
campaign, the largest day of citizen action focusing on global warming in our
nation’s history.
The event is being co-sponsored by the Sierra Club
Lone Star Dallas Chapter. Attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic with
blanket and hear speakers, live music by local bands, join a letter writing
campaign to Congress, see free films, talk with green energy vendors, shop with
local artisans, enjoy kid activities, and get information on how to save energy
and reduce our carbon
footprints.WHERE:

WHEN: Saturday, April 14th,
2007. The event will begin at 12:00pm and end at 4:00pm with the event photo
take at 12:30pm and is free to all who

UpStep it Up is a nationwide campaign
comprised of over 1000 events in all 50 states rallying around the need for bold
and immediate action on the issue of global warming. Events are being held in
every corner of the country, from Maine to Hawaii, and Seattle to Key West. The
events are being held in major cities, iconic locations and small towns across
