General Conference in Forth Worth: April 23 - May 2

Someone said a big part of life is just showing up.
That is especially true for the Reconciling Ministries and the General
Conference. After a year of planning, the time is now to just show up. Our
presence with our stoles will be a symbol of the movement to inclusion in the
United Methodist
Church.
VOLUNTEER:
If you have a few hours, drive over to
Fort Worth and volunteer. You do not have to sign up, you do not have to quote
scripture, you just have to be there as a symbol of support. Check in Location
will be First Christian Church , located at 6th & Throckmorton,
from 7:00 am – 4:00 pm. They will give you an assignment for any period of
time.
ATTEND RECONCILING
EVENTS:
Saturday, April 19,
4:00 pm, Reconciling Parents Rainbow Saturday -
Grace United Methodist Church, 4105 Junius at
Haskell, Dallas.
Participate in worship and
fellowship afterward. Offering renewal for all people desiring to truly open the
hearts, minds, and doors of our church; expanding our spiritual base; and
impacting General
Conference.
Sunday, April 20, 11
am, Reconciling Worship at
Northaven
Participate in worship at
Northaven in celebration of the anniversary of becoming a Reconciling
congregation. Prepare for our work at the General Conference later in the
week.
Sunday, April 27, 2 pm,
Reconciling Ministries Worship, First UMC Fort
Worth
Participate in worship sponsored by
Reconciling Ministries Network. It will be important for us to participate,
encourage our friends and family to attend, and to be a symbol of the numbers of
people who support an inclusive church.
