Turning their tragedy into an educational
moment for us all
As many of you will remember, three members of the
MacDonald family --Michelle, Gary, and Josh-- were involved in a very serious
car accident about a month ago. One of the things they have been convinced of is
that Josh came through the accident as safely as he did because he was in the
back seat, and properly strapped in with a seat
belt.
This week, the three of them traveled to Washington DC, to take part in a news conference about this issue. The conference emphasized research that shows children 8-12 years-old are much safer in the back seat of cars.
