Billy Crockett
"Passages," the new CD from Billy
Crockett
Billy Crockett now lives at his ranch outside
Wimberly, where he continues to record music, and develop a retreat for artists
and other searchers.But he recently
wrote us to let us know about a new CD of his music that's been released. The
CD, entitled "Passages," is a inspiring collection of solo guitar songs, written
by Billy. Below, you will see a review of the CD, written by our own John
Thornburg, that ran in the Dallas Morning New Religion
section. The CD is available at Billy's
website.Also, members might want to
take a virtual tour of Billy and Dodee's wonderful "Artist Ranch and Studio, by
clicking here.In
his letter to us, Billy sends his love to all his Northaven friends, and says
that he still thinks of us
often.

Artists)Whoever said songs
of faith must have words hasn't heard this recording. Billy Crockett's technical
mastery and the delicious sound of the Rozas Spanish guitar are only the
beginning. This collection of 14 songs for solo guitar guides the listener on a
journey to the important space between hope and lament. Mr. Crockett, a Texas
singer/songwriter with a rich discography of Christian songs, says of his faith
journey, "After a lengthy creative engagement with institutional religious
faith, I am listening more and endorsing
less."John Thornburg
