12th Annual Good Friday Walk

Remembering Jesus’ teachings on the day of his death

Friday, April 14, 10:15 a.m.

goodfridaywalk“I was an immigrant and a refugee, and you did not welcome me.” (Mt 25:31-45)

We walk to welcome, to embrace, to stand with the refugees from Syria and the immigrants who live among us.

“I was thirsty and you did not give me to drink.” (Mt 25:31-45)

We walk to stand with the people of Flint, Michigan and all who thirst for clean water.

“That which you do to the least of these, you do to me.” (Mt 25:31-45)

We walk for our damaged earth, God’s creation, and for those who suffer now and who will suffer in the future if we do not heal this world, our home.

Good Friday Walk 2015Blessed are those who mourn: for they will be comforted. (Mt. 5:4)

We walk with those who have lost their lives because of our worship of guns and the lack of justice.

We will meet at Young and Harwood in front of First Presbyterian Church and then walk through downtown Dallas stopping along the way for reflection.

We will end at Dallas City Hall around 11:30 a.m.

He has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
