BTD 2018 LogoThe 2018 Black Tie Dinner is less than 100 days away—on Saturday, November 3, 2018.

As a beneficiary, we have less time than that in order to meet our requirements.

It is time right now to buy tickets at the Northaven tables, so we can meet our table requirement.  More tickets and tables mean a larger distribution for Northaven.  We already have some tickets sold, but we want to fill two tables (total of 20 people).  We want as many people from Northaven to attend and experience the 2018 Dinner.  Tickets are $400 each.  If you would like to attend the Dinner as part of a Northaven table, please contact Randy Ray. The earlier we are able to fully pay for tables, the better location for the tables in the Dinner ballroom.  Attend the Dinner and represent Northaven!  You may not be interested in attending, but you may be interested in underwriting someone else to attend, so they have the opportunity to attend the Dinner if they are interested.  If so, please contact Randy.

2018 BTD Raffle ArtWe are also selling raffle tickets.  Each ticket is $100 and gives the holder a chance to win an all-new 2019 Mercedes-Benz C300 or GLC300, graciously underwritten by Park Place Motorcars.  We have met our beneficiary requirement to sell 25 tickets.  For each additional ticket sold by Northaven, $75 will be credited to the Northaven distribution from Black Tie!  See Randy, Nan Arnold, Dick Weaver, or Mary Mallory to buy a raffle ticket.

We have a deadline of October 1 to help the Black Tie Silent Auction by providing donations of auction items with a total retail value of at least $1,000.  The Silent Auction Committee is looking for high-quality items that will help generate the maximum revenue from the Silent Auction.  Northaven members and friends have been very generous in the past.  Please consider—NOW—donating an item or asking businesses that receive your patronage to consider donating to the Silent Auction—and make sure Northaven is credited for the donation.  If you have any questions, please contact Dick or Randy.  For every dollar of revenue that Northaven-donated items bring in above $1,000, 75% is credited directly to the Northaven distribution from Black Tie!

Last, but not least, during the week of the Dinner, we are required to complete 40 volunteer hours by the Sunday following the Dinner.  Volunteer hours on the day of the Dinner or the next day, Sunday, November 4, are the most critical. Volunteer at the Dinner and represent Northaven! Volunteering is a fun way to participate in the Dinner and help Northaven reach its requirements to be a local beneficiary.  If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Randy.  We already have volunteers signing up.  The more people we have signed up, the more we can spread around the responsibility.  If at all possible, we need to know who our volunteers will be by October 1.

Come join the fun with Black Tie this year.  The more involvement we have, the more successful the Dinner will be, and the more Northaven will benefit from Black Tie’s fundraising this year!
