We are fortunate to have a strong youth ministry program that continues to foster relationships with our students once they leave for college or to start their careers. Currently, we have nineteen young adults both locally and throughout the country who are college-aged. One of the most meaningful ways that we keep in touch with them is by sending out care packages.
If you would like the list of college students so that you can write notes or personalize gifts, please email LauraMay. Below is a list of items that they enjoy receiving. Letters and donations can be brought to the church office. The youth group will compile the donations and letters in October.
Suggested items for the care packages:
Pre-packaged snacks, microwave popcorn, granola or breakfast bars, individual packages of cookies, chips, pretzels, crackers, jerky, packets of instant coffee, tea bags, sport drink mixes, lemonade, hot cocoa, gum or mints etc…
Pencils, pens, highlighters, erasers, sticky notes, bookmarks
Hand-written notes (in an envelope, please)
Gift cards (Starbucks, Sonic, etc.)
Chapstick, nail files, tissue packets, lotion, band-aids, etc.
Small toys (decks of cards, stress balls)
Stationary, envelopes, stamps
We will be compiling care packages again in the spring.
