Circles Of The Spirit
Meets Tuesday Evenings 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 pm
Passage Meditation is the method to memorize great passages from the Bible or the writings of saints and sages and then meditate on one or more of these for 30 minutes a day. Daily life is guided by seven other “disciplines.” Many who have tried other approaches to meditation find that Passage Meditation is very accessible and provides a clear and helpful structure. The approach is compatible with any religious perspective. Our meditation group (called a “satsang”) is religiously and culturally diverse in composition. Group meetings consist of discussion, reading from a book, viewing a DVD lecture, and 30 minutes of silent meditation.
Grounded in the shared spiritual practice of meditation and trust these small groups meet monthly and offer participants an intimate, sharing spiritual path. At the heart of the experience are the awareness of the presence of Spirit expressed through compassion, the balance of both inner and outer lives, and trust. Groups are formed as participants are available.
Religion & Science Discussion Group
The group is composed of persons from a wide variety of backgrounds, faiths, professions, and educations who meet discuss current issues of religion and science.
