In this noisy, chaotic world do you need to learn to calm your body, soul and spirit? On Saturday, November 23 from 9:00 am - Noon come participate in a unique experience that combines the science of the mind with relaxation and spiritual openness. This Circles of the Spirit Mindfulness Workshop will includes a time for contemplation, meditation and a chance to listen to one's inner teacher.
We will begin with a journey of ambient music where a tapestry of sound and vibration leads to deep relaxation. Sound Baths are an ancient form of deep meditation using traditional instruments to create theta brainwave tonal sounds where one’s mind slows and opens to deeper levels of spiritual and physical healing and prepares one to discover how soothing sounds of healing streamline the meditation process.
Then we will experience a one-time, small group form of meditation based on the Quaker model that emphasizes listening to your inner teacher. With Spirit as the core, this practice moves toward a vibrant, inner self-knowing that leads to compassionate and discerning lives in the outer world.
What To Bring: loose, comfortable clothing and bring anything to create a comfortable meditation nest – pillows, eye cover, blankets, etc. Help us reduce waste by bringing a reusable cup or thermos.
