Our individual/collective narratives tell us how we got where we are and guide our future. This 4-week series will draw on a new book by a scientist and theologian who are brothers – Stories of Desire & Narratives of Faith: From Neanderthals to the Postmodern Era. Brief summaries will frame the focus for each class, followed by private reflection on our own stories of desire and narratives of faith and exploration of a collective narrative to guide our future. Central themes will include how we respect the tandem stories of science and religion to find harmony in our intellect and our faith and the central role of “desire” in shaping our narratives.
This study will be a part of the Spiritual Journey Fall Classes and runs September 8, 15, 22 & 29 in Room 240 at 9:30 am / Facilitated by Bob Stewart
