HOLY WEEK AT NORTHAVEN

Observe Holy Week with Northaven as we conclude the Lenten season and praise the risen Christ!

All services and events are held at Northaven Church.

  • Spiritual Practices Retreat — March 23 | 1:30 p.m.

Our Spring Spiritual Practices retreat is an opportunity to reflect on our Lenten theme of Lessons: Dying to Live. During the retreat, you will have the option of trying your hand with a drumming circle, walking our beautiful garden labyrinth, practicing chair yoga, and participating in a meditative sound bath.

All activities have options for anyone with mobility challenges. Bring a water bottle, yoga mat and/or pillows and blankets.

    Register here today!

  • Palm Sunday Worship Service — March 24 | 11 a.m.

Begin Holy Week by recounting Jesus entering Jerusalem, not as the triumphant Caesar, but as the humble servant.

Gather with us as we too enter into this most Holy Week with shouts of Hosanna and continue our journey of dying to live!

  • Maundy Thursday Worship Service — March 28 | 6:30 p.m.

Join us in the sanctuary as we remember this evening filled with so many lessons that we carry with us.

This is where Jesus washed his disciples feet, showing his commitment to serving all. This is where Jesus taught the disciples how to remember his life and to share a meal together. This is where Jesus spent his final hours, with the ones he held close.

Come, and share in this most holy evening and continue our journey of dying to live.

  • Good Friday Service — March 29 | 6:30 p.m.

Too often feelings of pain, fear, loss, anxiety are emotions that we push aside. Emotions that cause us pain or discomfort are feelings we too often move away from too quickly and don't properly live into.

As we recall the pain, suffering, and grief that occured on Good Friday, we take a look at the painful emotions in our own lives. Through artistic expression, we’ll attempt to live and work through those emotions. Instead of pushing them aside we confront them head on.

Give yourself the space to process pain, fear, loss, and the anxieties that surround us and continue our journey of dying to live.

  • Family Easter Egg Hunt — March 30 | 10-11:30 a.m.

Get ready for some sweet treats, eggs, activities, games and MORE! Join us for some Easter fun. Egg hunts will begin at 10:30AM.

  • Sunrise Communion Service — March 31 | 7 a.m.

It is one thing to speak of light overcoming darkness, of death being resurrected to new life. It is something completely different to experience those words while witnessing a sunrise, while hearing the chirp of a new born baby bird, while seeing the bud of the flowers rise from the ground.

Experience Easter in a whole new light as we gather at dawn to welcome Easter morning and complete our journey of dying to live.

The Sunrise Communion Service will be held in Northaven’s Celebration Garden. A potluck brunch will be served inside of the church following the service.

  • Easter Sunday Worship Service — March 31 | 11 a.m.

Alleluia! Christ is Risen indeed! Celebrate this triumphant morning with shouts of Alleluia and the reminder that hope is not lost, darkness is not forever, death is not the end but that the promise for us all is that Love, Light, Life are promised and are here!

A potluck brunch will be served prior to the worship service.
