Rev. Julie Harding, Community Engagement Pastor
Rev. Julie Harding serves as the Community Engagement Pastor at Northaven United Methodist Church. A native of Grand Prairie, Texas, Julie was raised in the faith by her home congregation at First United Methodist Church. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Master of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University.
Julie began her career as an engineer but soon felt called to ministry and community service. Over the past two decades, she has dedicated herself to serving churches and nonprofit organizations. In 2016, she helped Project Transformation expand to Tarrant County and led the organization as Executive Director for three years.
In June 2025, Julie was commissioned as a provisional deacon by the Horizon Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church. She is passionate about living out God’s call to pursue peace, justice, and healing for the world. At Northaven UMC—a church with a rich legacy of progressive activism—Julie brings leadership and vision to strengthen community engagement and share God’s love with all our neighbors.
Julie shares life with her husband and two teenage children. To care for her body and spirit, she enjoys reading novels, hiking, and paddling her kayak on local lakes.
