Larry McCain, our organist since 2019, is a native of Tyler, Texas, and grew up in Arlington, Texas. Larry is an accomplished collaborative keyboard artist, accompanying solos as well as instrumental and choral ensembles throughout the area. He is an active member of the American Guild of Organists (Dallas and Fort Worth Chapters), Church Music Institute, and has served on the Dallas Bach Society Board of Directors for more than 30 years. Larry is Sales Consultant for Church Organ Associates, representing Allen Organs.

Larry received his Bachelor of Music (Organ/Sacred Music) from Texas Christian University, his Master of Music (Composition) from Midwestern University, and has done post-graduate study. His compositions are published by Alfred Music Publishing and Myklas Music Press. He collaborated with Rev. John Thornburg in a 2024 Advent Cantata commissioned by Northaven, Come Here and Now.

Larry has served as organist and director of music for many churches, most recently serving 26 years at Central Lutheran Church of Dallas. Larry, his wife Diane, and their two cats, Bonkers and Bentley, live in the Lakewood area.
